Samsung Galaxy S8 Launch Campaign
In early February 2017, a creative agency called Plb Group had the opportunity to pitch for the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch campaign.
As a freelancer I spent several days contributing a range of concepts that would be presented in the tender process.
I had been given little detail of what the phone may look like, however the brief outlined that there should be emphasis on the new ‘Infinity Edge’ screen.
I created the following visuals using the Samsung S7 as a reference.
I wanted the use new phone's capabilities to create a connection with adventure and exploration.
I also included the following experiential concept using projection mapping to extend the boundaries of the screen into the surrounding environment.
Unfortunately PLB Group did not win the pitch.
Samsung had chosen to work with another agency.....
At the end of March, Samsung launched the 'Unbox your Phone' campaign globally with great success.
